Many states offer financial assistance for adoptions to help with reasonable living expenses and expenses related to the birth of the child. We know many birth mothers have a need for financial assistance of one kind or another. Each state has its own laws about this.
In Georgia, we are able to help with pregnancy related expenses and necessary living expenses, depending on your need and situation. We know that every situation is different. Again, we can’t just pay for anything. We must follow state law. We are required to report to the court on expenses paid.
Please note, any assistance given is for those who are making adoption plans. No adoption agency is able to just freely give out money for general living expenses unrelated to adoption placement.
Also, as a reputable agency, we must consider the ethical implications in the giving out of money. Financial assistance is never intended to entice anyone to place a baby for adoption.
Financial assistance could also come in the form of covering the legal, medical, counseling and other expenses related to an adoption. Give us a call and we can discuss how we can help
