 Memorial gifts are donations to AGAPE that are given specifically in tribute to someone who has passed on, whether it be a family member, friend or someone special to you for some reason. Honor gifts are given in honor of a loved one or someone special to you usually for some occasion, accomplishment or just to say thanks. Examples of occasions to consider honor gifts are birthdays, anniversaries, Mother's/Father's day, promotions, as a way of saying thanks, etc. To make a memorial or honor gift, donors just need to indicate who the gift is in memory/honor of and who they want to be notified of the gift. AGAPE has special coupons for this purpose. Once a memorial gift is received, AGAPE will send a letter to family members and anyone the donor wishes to be notified of the gift. This letter relates to the nature of the gift and shares special thoughts of encouragement. Once an honor gift is received, a letter is sent to the ones being honored with thoughtful comments relating to the purpose of the gift. We will also list memorial and honor gifts in our newsletter as an additional way to pay tribute. It is our experience that those being honored are very touched by the thoughtfulness of the donors that is expressed through these gifts.
