Douglas L. Mead, LCSW

CEO and Executive Director

Each organization has its own “corporate culture” which permeates all it does. At Georgia AGAPE, our culture is based upon doing quality work and achieving positive outcomes, but in a distinctly loving manner and nurturing environment.

In the 2006 movie “We Are Marshall,” the statement was made that most football coaches operate under the premise that “winning is everything.” The first Marshall coach brashly stated that no one will remember how the team played the game, just if the team won or lost. This gives the impression that “how” the game is played has little value.

Well, that is certainly not how we view our efforts here. How we operate and provide our services does matter a great deal, regardless of the outcomes. At Georgia AGAPE, our clients will always be met with respectful and sensitive treatment, with a sincere concern for their well-being and with a genuine desire to help them as best we can. We believe this is the Christian way and that good will come by following these principles.

Our commitment and tradition is to provide the highest level of quality services in a compassionate and ethical way. We are about “winning,” but realize this comes in many forms and fashions. We hope you’ll take advantage of the opportunity to share in the good AGAPE is doing!
